Palletways mows over competition to celebrate sports turf contract anniversary

The saying ‘the grass isn’t always greener’ has never been more true for one nationwide sports turf supplier who has returned to Palletways Edinburgh after a 12-month absence.

Newbridge-based supplier of sports turf supplies, Rigby Taylor, recently celebrated its one-year anniversary working with Palletways Edinburgh to deliver 140 pallets of professional lawn care products per month across Scotland.

Rigby Taylor supplies products to leading sports venues and groundskeepers including SPFL clubs in Scotland. David Johnston, depot manager at Rigby Taylor, said: “Palletways Edinburgh offers a flexible service and is well placed within a strong UK network to deliver cost effectively to our wide range of UK customers. That’s why we were keen to work with them again. It’s focus on technology and in-cab innovation is light years ahead of the competition and this, combined with its determination to win back the contract, made our return an easy decision to make.

“As we grow our customer base it’s important to have a reliable pallet distributor who can keep up with our growing demand and support us in our service delivery. We’re looking forward to celebrating more anniversaries over the coming years.”

Vanda Roberts, general manager for Palletways Edinburgh added: “We’re thrilled to have celebrated our one year anniversary with Rigby Taylor. Winning back this nationwide contract a year ago is testament to our first class service and we’re looking forward to supporting Rigby Taylor’s ambitious plans to grow its northbound operations.”

Palletways Edinburgh specialises in short and long term storage with over 23,000 square feet of secure storage space at its depot. The depot employs 28 members of staff and handles around 10,000 pallets a month.
